From 28th June until 13th September, Prescot Museum are inviting you to meet the monsters that once roamed the earth. Come face to face with Deinonychus, walk in the footsteps of a Tyrannosaurus-Rex and growl at the Sabre Tooth Tiger! Along with displays of bones, casts and fossils there are the dinosaur drawings and models of local artist Stewart Williams. There is also a range of hands-on activities including a Tyrannosaurus Toddlers Corner, with costumes to try on and dinosaurs to play with, a touchy feely fossil box, fossils to examine and take rubbings of and a fossil dig so you can be the archaeologist. There is even a remote control Trilobite that you can steer around his prehistoric home! In addition, the museum is holding a range of activities throught the summer holidays. Booking is essential and each workshop costs £1.50 per child. Telephone 0151 4307787 for further details of times.
