Over 100 chess players travelled from across the North West to take part in one of the area’s leading tournaments.

he Knowsley chess champion was Jeff Horner and he collected £120 in prize money from Knowsley’s Events Team who organised the day.

The junior winner was 10 year old Victoria Crompton.
