Morning Coffee as you’ve never seen it before!

‘Nellie the elephant’ and her friends shared their very own quarters at Knowsley Safari Park for morning coffee with a group of jungle explorers, some in safari style attire!

The coffee morning was to raise funds for Volunteer Reading Help (VRH) - a charitable organisation helping youngsters between the ages of 6 and 11 to improve their reading.

Many people called in expressing an interest at various places across the borough.

More volunteers are needed - no qualifications are necessary as basic training is given.

Drop-in coffee mornings took place recently in venues across the UK to attract new volunteers and for those interested to find out more details.

Chota and Cora at the safari park helped to highlight the need for more volunteers. A trunk call was put through to Knowsley Safari Park to remind the elephants of their commitment - but in true elephant style, they didn’t forget!
