Musical Mystery Visits Knowsley

Eight musicians from the renowned BBC Philharmonic Orchestra have teamed up with private investigator Ann Dante to create an exciting and fun musical workshop for pupils up and down the country.

The workshop, funded by the Wrightson Charitable Trust, uses a musical murder mystery aimed at promoting listening and writing skills, interactive responses and instrument recognition. “Who Killed Ramona Rhapsody”, written by Di Sherlock and composed by Peter Wilmott, is touring in both primary and secondary schools throughout the country and has recently visited Bowring Comprehensive in Huyton.

The workshop is set in the 1930s on board the Pearl Fisher, a luxury liner bound for Hong Kong. The plot involves a suspicious death and the famed “De Bussy Diamonds”. Ann introduces the various characters, each of whom has their own musical ID, and invites the pupils to solve the mystery using the musical clues provided.
