Continuing our regular look at support and facilities available to people with disabilities and their carers, this issue we feature two organisations in Knowsley who care for the carers:

  • Knowsley Young Carers Project

  • Princess Royal Trust Knowsley Carers Centre

Carers, especially young carers, often go unnoticed in our society. The work they do in caring for a relative or friend often means that they have to give up their own jobs or ambitions. Young carers in particular suffer a great deal by putting their own lives “on hold”, often with little or no support.

Between them the Young Carers Project and the Knowsley Carers Centre provide a point of contact, support and advice for carers of all ages.
