Karl Reid, a history teacher at Knowsley Hey, is running in the London Marathon next month. This is his second marathon and Karl is busy drumming up sponsorship for his chosen charity, CRY (Cardiac Relief in the Young) and has pledged that all money raised above £1000 will be donated to Alder Hey Children’s Hospital here in Liverpool.

Mr Reid explained to Huyton Today that CRY aims to reduce the number of sudden deaths linked to heart defects in young children. All staff and pupils at the school wish him every success in his venture.

If you would like to make a donation please contact Knowsley Hey School, Seel Road, Huyton, L36 6DG, TEL 0151 489 0276
