The progress made by the Knowsley Strategic Partnership (LDP) has recently been recognised by the Government. The Partnership, which was established two years ago, brings together the public, private, voluntary and community sectors with the aims of enhancing the quality of life in the borough. Following the second Strategic Partnership conference held recently at Knowsley Hall, the Partnership now aims to launch its Community Plan. This aims to promote partnership working within Knowsley, encourage innovation and provide a "joined-up" approach to service provision and tackling key challenges. Social responsibility, employment and education are priorities to be addressed in the plan. Cllr Jim Keight, Leader of Knowsley Council and Chair of Knowsleys LSP, said, We are delighted to receive accreditation which recognises the development of Knowsleys Local Strategic Partnership since its launch in early 2001. The wide range of partners involved continues to show strong commitment to working together to make a real difference in seeking to enhance the quality of life for everyone who lives in the borough.
