Knowsley’s award winning Plus One Challenge has hit the road and its message is rolling across the borough thanks to Glenvale Transport.

The key message of the campaign, that youngsters within Knowsley can improve their GCSE grades with help of initiatives under the Plus One Challenge is on every Glendale bus that has a route through Knowsley.

In the two years since the Plus One Challenge has been in operation, the borough’s results have risen twice the national average which has taken the local authority off the bottom of the education league tables.

“The Plus One Challenge, along with other study support and revision methods, gives pupils a real boost for their GCSE exams in terms of revision, preparation and practice,” commented Cllr Larry Nolan, Knowsley’s Cabinet Member for Education. “Proof is indeed in the pudding – results are rising steadily.”
