Bus IT!

Late November should see the launch of Knowsley’s ICT bus, named Get IT on Board. The project is funded through New Opportunities Funding (NoF) as part of Community Access to Life Long Learning.

The project will be managed by Leisure Services in partnership with Knowsley Community College.

The bus is equipped with four PCs and has space for three laptops. It is also wheelchair accessible.

It is planned that, the bus will tour the Borough for the first few weeks, with staff leafleting and asking residents to fill in a short survey to ascertain what, when and where people want to learn. The project will be managed by Leisure Services in partnership with Knowsley Community College and they would like to hear from anyone organising an event or who knows of a community group who would welcome the appearance of the bus.
