Talented pupils from Knowsley’s secondary schools are having their work exhibited in one of the borough’s main galleries. The Secondary Colours exhibition provides an excellent showcase for the quality of work being produced by artistic students.

Sarah Craven, Arts Officer commented, “This vibrant and energetic artwork has been created during the 2002/2003 school year for GCSE and A-Level courses. The gallery spaces are busy with a stunning selection of paintings, drawings, textiles and ceramics, with a vast range of themes from the Egyptians to sea life.”

“The public do not often get the chance to view our young people’s art work, so this is a valuable opportunity to see how diversely their subjects have been interpreted.”

The exhibition is free and runs until 10th August at Kirkby Gallery, Kirkby Library, Newtown Gardens.
