You've got to be in to win!

Report by Ben Wissett

On Wednesday 19th May, children from schools all over Knowsley turned up at the Huyton Suite to receive a very prestigious award: The Mayor of Knowsley's Attendance Award.

The awards were presented by Cllr Steve Byron, and also by his wife, Mrs Byron.

The awards ranged from an award for one year's full attendance to an award for six years' full attendance achieved by Knowsley Hey pupil, Graham Roberts. Also, awards for seven years' full attendance were received by ex-Halewood pupils Gary Fahy and Paul Terry. The awards now take place annually, indicating that the majority of pupils and students from all over Knowsley are dedicated to education, and hopefully will remain so in the future.
