This edition marks the second birthday of Huyton Today. The news team would like to thank everyone who has helped or contributed to the paper over that time.

As we enter the new millennium, we are pleased to see the growing confidence in the area being shown by national companies such as Lidl and Asda. There is a growing sense of purpose and pride within Huyton; we hope that this will continue and that the town will go from strength to strength in the years to come.

Inside we feature Millennium Thoughts from some of the local people who have featured in Huyton Today over the past two years -->
