Five youngsters from Blacklow Primary are set to have their stories in print after winning the recent Young Writers’ Creative Writing Competition.
The winning entries from seventeen schools across the North West will feature in the book “A Day In The Life Of... Creative Writing From The North West” due to be published at the end of January 2000.
The entries from Jack Humphries, Abigail Morton, Hayley Findlow, Susan Azarinejad and Jessica Shaw are the only winners to feature from the Liverpool area.
Year 5 teacher Mrs. Peach, who co-ordinated the entries for the school, told Huyton Today that she was delighted with the quality of the writing by pupils at the school. “The children worked very hard and the standard of work was very high.”
