Can you make a difference? |
Over the summer months, an exciting new cartoon project will be launched in Huyton. Making a Difference aims to celebrate the changes made to the lives of local people through Huyton Help funding during the last five years. Huyton Help and local community representatives are working in partnership to create a programme of cartoon and animation workshops taking place in Huyton. The project has been funded by Huyton Regeneration Partnership. A professional artist is currently being recruited to work with a wide range of groups on creating cartoons and animated film which will explore the lives of people living in Huyton. Anybody living in Huyton can get involved in the workshops. If you have an interesting story to tell about your life in Huyton, or you fancy yourself as a budding cartoonist, then come along and try your hand at producing a cartoon about yourself. Work produced by the artist and groups will be displayed in a major exhibition at Huyton Gallery later this year, so you may even get your own work displayed! The workshops with the artist will take place during the summer months, from June to September. The exhibition will take place in Huyton Gallery, based in Huyton Library, in November, with a special opening to launch the event. Details of the programme will be printed soon but if you want to register your interest now, please call Vicky Charnock at Knowsley Arts Services on 0151 443 5642. |
