New Jobs for Huyton and Prescot

Brand new retail outlets opening this year in Huyton and Prescot will provide plenty of job opportunities for local people. The Forum Shopping Centre, located by the bus station in Huyton, has four new units in the process of being built. Peacocks will be the first to open in early June. They retail in family wear (baby, children, men and women) and household goods (depending on the size of the store).

Two of the other units will open later in the summer and the final unit is still unoccupied.

Work is currently underway on the Prescot Retail Park, where eight units will be accommodated. The largest of these will be a Tesco store, which is due to open in September/October 2000. The only other known occupier is the Northern Shoe Company. There has been lots of speculation about who else will be coming but no definite information is known. The good news is that all new outlets will be looking to recruit sales staff, a large proportion of whom will be part time.

If anyone is interested in retail work they should call into Huyton Jobcentre to register today. Don’t delay!
