Steve’s Number One!

Buckingham Bingo’s very own star fundraiser has done it again!

The last twelve months have been eventful for Steve Linder, manager of Buckingham Bingo, who was voted Number One Bingo Caller of the Year in the UK. He travelled to the United States as an ambassador for the Bingo Gaming Board and, upon his return, promptly embarked on a massive tour of 30 bingo halls around the country. To top it all he was a regular on our TV screens, most notably perhaps the Big Breakfast Show!

Throughout the year he has still been fundraising for good causes, including one of his favourite charities, The Newborn Appeal, for which his latest efforts have raised a massive £10,000. Although presently rehearsing for a ‘Buckingham Bingo’ version of ‘The King and I’ on 13th of April, to help a three year old boy who needs a wheel chair, The Newborn Appeal will be the focus of fundraising efforts for the near future.

The Buckingham Bingo receives hundreds of requests for help each year and hope that, by focusing on a single charity at a time, it can really make a difference.

Steve pays tribute to the marvellous band of staff from the Buckingham Bingo in Huyton, Hunts Cross and Bootle, the management and residents of the Eldonian Village, Chrissie Rock, Janet Walton and many other local personalities and bingo regulars for their tremendous support.

Nice to see the charitable heart of Merseyside is beating as strongly as ever!
