Picture: Pupils preparing to take the stage for the musical Tomorrow’s World

Pupils at the Alt Bridge Secondary Support Centre in Huyton recently staged a musical after receiving a grant through the Millennium Festival Awards. Parents and pupils from other support centres in Knowsley were invited to get involved in producing “Tomorrow’s World”, a new musical written by Barbara Maddock who worked at Claire House Children’s Hospice on the Wirral. Proceeds from the production will help boys and girls in their care.

Judith Winters, a teacher at Alt Bridge who produced the show said, “We hope that through their involvement in the musical, pupils can take a sense of pride, self discipline and commitment which they can use in their everyday lives.”
