New Deal 50 Plus

New Deal 50 Plus is a voluntary programme. It enables you to see a Personal Adviser who will give you advice on how to come off benefits and find work.

More employers are realising that they need the reliability and commitment which more mature people bring to their jobs.

New Deal 50 Plus:

• Has no upper age limit.
• Will give you the chance to try a new kind of job.
• Will give you the opportunity to work full time, part time or be self-employed.
• May enhance your skills and training while you work by offering you a ’Training Grant‘.
• Pays you money for 12 months if you do start work (£60 per week if job is full time (30 hrs plus) and £40 if the job is between 16-29 hours)

New Deal 50 Plus is open to you if you are aged over 50 and have been claiming most types of benefits for 6 months or more or if your partner is on benefits and is claiming for you.
