Villagers secure increased bus service

The Villagers First Community Association recently succeeded in their campaign to have bus company Arriva increase the service between Stockbridge Village and the Huyton shopping centre.
Representatives of the Stockbridge group presented a 1,000 signature petition to the company who have increased the service frequency to every 15 minutes.
Villagers First are now appealing to Arriva to introduce a direct evening service from Stockbridge Village to Whiston Hospital.
Association Secretary George Jewell told Huyton Today, “We are hopeful that Arriva, who appear to be a listening company, will grant our request.”
