Huyton’s Central Primary and St Aidan’s RC Primary School have recently received a “Sports For All” award to help encourage and develop sporting activities at the two sites.

The award is targeted at Year 4 pupils and the money will be used to help develop Basketball facilities and training at both schools.

Liz Ludden, PE Co-ordinator and year 4 teacher at Central Primary said, “We don’t know exactly how much the award is worth, but we are planning to use the extra funds to run after school clubs at both schools, with some of the money going towards buying-in professional coaching for the children.”

John Cross of St Aidan’s said, “We are delighted to have received this award. It means that we can now provide essential out of school activities.”
