Hey Gringos!

A giant Mexican wave hit St Albert’s RC Primary School in Stockbridge Village when they spent a day celebrating all things Latino.

The school has raised over £100 for CAFOD, Catholic Aid for Overseas Development, who this year is focusing on Mexico.

To give the children a flavour of the culture of another country and to support the work of CAFOD, the staff and children dressed up for school in sombreros, ponchos and false moustaches, while in the school kitchen, tasty, Mexican inspired fayre was served up.

Kevin Mahoney, Headteacher told Huyton Today, “We are now looking into organising other theme days to bring a variety of cultures to the children in the school.”
