Malvern Primary achieves Investor in People Award

Malvern Primary School in Huyton is celebrating after receiving national recognition for its development of staff. The school has been awarded Investors in People (IIP) status.

This is the first time the school has achieved the award which it has been working towards for the last twelve months. The IIP award is a reflection of the way the school has developed and valued its staff, and then how this in turn has been measured in terms of pupil achievement.

Headteacher, Christine Kinsella said, “We all worked very hard for IIP and are delighted to have reached the standard. We are a close knit team here and work well. The award has consolidated this.”

The award follows last year’s success when the school gained a Basic Skills quality mark which recognised improvements in literacy and numeracy.

Ms Kinsella added, “Gaining the Basic Skills award last year was a tremendous boost and we believe these things will be to the overall benefit of the pupils.”
